Löve & D. Löve var. geyeri (A. Gray) G. L. Nesom. [In Flora North America, in a treatment authored by Luc Brouillet, John C. Semple, Geraldine A. Allen (author of Symphyotrichum for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]), Kenton L. Chambers, and Scott D. Sundberg, it is stated, "...The species was recently reported for California (tentatively assigned to this variety), where possibly it has been introduced." Therefore, a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-1, Jepson Flora Project-2, or Jepson Flora Project-3 seem equally possible at this time, since it is uncertain whether or not the plants are native to CA, and if they are not, whether they occur in the state as naturalized plants or as waifs.]Summary: possible addition, for taxon reported for California since The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] | |
