According to Barneby (Atlas of North American Astragalus, Part II, 1964, p. 776), "Phaca jucunda Jeps. & Rydb. ex Rydb." is a synonym of Astragalus oophorus S. Watson var. oophorus, recognized and treated as native to California for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], and there is no indication to the contrary in the treatments of Astragalus in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] or for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]; the name is not included in Munz.
