Correspondence 1 indicates that Allium munzii occurs only in western Riverside County, and not well into San Diego County as well, as indicated on our map. [The Interchange map appears to indicate southern Santa Barbara, southern Ventura, southern Los Angeles, southern San Bernardina, Orange, and extreme sw Imperial cos. as well. In fact, a taxon appearing only in western Riverside County could well occur both in SCo and PR, in which case its distribution would be depicted just as it is on The Interchange. We plan to depict distributions more precisely in the future.]

Correspondence 2 indicates that, according to Dale McNeal (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Author), there is no doubt that Traub was the author of 11 names or combinations in Allium that were validly published in Plant Life 28:63--64 (1972), so that the correct author citation for this name is Allium munzii (Ownbey & Aase ex Traub) McNeal. [Therefore, author citation expanded to Allium munzii (Ownbey & Aase ex Traub) McNeal, from Allium munzii (Traub) McNeal previously in this Index, 11 Feb 2005; author citation of The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] synonym corrected to Allium fimbriatum S. Watson var. munzii Ownbey & Aase ex Traub, from Allium fimbriatum S. Watson var. munzii Ownbey & Aase previously in this Index, 5 Jul 2007 (but should have been done 11 Feb 2005, when changes to other relevant entries made).]
