Watson is to be treated as an accepted name for a plant not occurring in CA, as indicated in the ms submitted, "Pls in e PR at w edge of DSon (e.g. Snow, Chino, & Andreas Cyns of SnJt) gen with very long terminal leaf lobe, hairy but not tomentose leaf undersides, and pedunculate heads of pistillate infls, are intermediate to P. wrightii S. Watson, Arizona sycamore [P. r. var. wrightii (S. Watson) L. Benson]."
