[Under Dodecatheon subalpinum Eastw. in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] is the note, "possibly more appropriately treated as a var. of Dodecatheon hendersonii, for which the name Dodecatheon hendersonii var. yosemitanum H. Mason is available." which also synonymizes the two names.]
