Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Cuscuta pentagona Engelm. is excluded, stating that recent work has shown that Cuscuta campestris and Cuscuta pentagona are distinct species, that the latter does not occur in CA, and that "All the herbarium collections, pictures, etc. identified as C. pentagona, are in fact C. campestris". [In The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1], Cuscuta campestris Yunck. listed as synonym of Cuscuta pentagona Engelm.]
