Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 13 Jul 2023 email from Michael Charters, including forwarded email from Charters of 11 Jul 2023 see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that plants possibly belonging to Parthenium argentatum A. Gray occur at the "Manzanar historical site on Rt 395"; that they are presumably there because the Japanese grew and harvested them during WWII ; that Charters has read that "there was a large-scale commercial guayule operation in Salinas" as well; and that the plants are possibly naturalized.
