Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 13 Oct 2005 e-mail from David J. Keil see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Dave Keil has examined the JEPS specimen of Tripleurospermum [Taylor 17473; previously identified as Tripleurospermum maritimum] and concluded that it is instead Tripleurospermum inodorum (the developing achenes of Taylor 17473 have the round glands of T. inodorum, and the phyllaries have a narrow, pale-brown scarious margin), which has a range in California of NCo, CaR.
Correspondence 2 14 Oct 2005 e-mail from David J. Keil see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that Matricaria inodora L. will be treated as Tripleurospermum inodorum (L.) Sch. Bip. in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], consistent with Bremer and Humphries (1993) in their treatment of Anthemideae genera and with Luc Brouillet in his Flora North America treatment, and that the plants in Shasta Co. appear to be naturalized.
