Mirabilis longiflora L.
NYCTAGINACEAE
Initial Editorial Analysis 11 Oct 2006
Source of Report for California added manually by Rosatti
Initial Editorial Comments would be added if Mirabilis longiflora var. longiflora recognized or added
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 Treatment submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Andrew G. Murdock, including author responses to questions posed during scientific editing see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that there are problems with UC465718: it is unclear whether it was collected in Mexico or CA, although the evidence slightly favors the former; and the material is not sufficient for certain identification, although it certainly belongs to Mirabilis sect. Mirabilis and therefore could be Mirabilis longiflora or Mirabilis jalapa, except that the frs are unusual as well as not characteristic of either species.
