Correspondence 2 indicates that all of the records in CCH currently assigned to Iliamna rivularis (Hook.) Greene belong instead to Iliamna latibracteata Wiggins, and speculates that in adding Iliamna rivularis to the treatment of Iliamna for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], the author, Tracey Slotta, accepted the annotations of John LaDuke, another specialist in Malvaceae, who had assigned all of the material in CCH to Iliamna rivularis (Hook.) Greene, perhaps just assuming, incorrectly, that Iliamna rivularis var. cismontana Jeps., the type of which is from the area indicated for Iliamna rivularis (Hook.) Greene in California (Humboldt Co.), is a synonym of Iliamna rivularis, when in fact it is a synonym of Iliamna latibracteata instead.
