Correspondence 1 indicates that the known range in California should be expanded to s SnJV, SCoRI, W & I, D, citing UC vouchers reported by Andreasen, K. et al. (Madroño 49: 22-24. 2002).
Correspondence 2 indicates that, according to Andreasen, K. et al. (Madroño 49: 22-24. 2002), the known range in California of Eremalche kernensis (Eremalche parryi subsp. kernensis in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]) may be even narrower than what is presented in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1], based on the determination (using morphological and molecular data) that some specimens previously identified as Eremalche kernensis (Eremalche parryi subsp. kernensis in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]) instead belong to Eremalche exilis. [This evidently is the basis for the range expansion of Eremalche exilis addressed in Correspondence 1.]
