Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that, in the opinion of Galen Smith (author of Eleocharis for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]), Eleocharis quadrangulata is most probably introduced into California, as he knows of no collections from before 1948, most of the collections are from obviously disturbed places, and its range seems to be spreading.
