Lidén named and described a new segregate genus, Ehrendorferia, including in it only two species, Ehrendorferia chrysantha (Hook. & Arn.) Rylander (Pl. Syst. Evol. 206:415. 1997), based on Dicentra chrysantha, and Ehrendorferia ochroleuca (Engelm.) Fukuhara (Pl. Syst. Evol. 206:415. 1997), based on Dicentra ochroleuca.
