Correspondence 1 indicates that Baileya multiradiata was published by Torrey (Torr. in Authors of Plant Names) in Notes of a Military Reconnoissance 144 (1848), wherein Torrey ascribed the unpublished name to "Harv. & Gr." but provided his own description. .[Therefore, author citation corrected to Baileya multiradiata Harv. & A. Gray ex Torr., from Baileya multiradiata A. Gray previously in this Index, 24 Apr 2007.]
