| Editorial Comments 1 | Correspondence 1 indicates: that Ipheion uniflorum was published by Rafinesque (Raf. in Authors of Plant Names) in Flora Telluriana 2:12 (1837) based on Milla uniflora published by Graham (= Authors of Plant Names) in Edinburgh New Philosophical Journal 14:174 (1833); that the The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] treatment will include Brodiaea uniflora as a synonym, a name published by Engler (Engl. in Authors of Plant Names) in Die Natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien 2(5):57 (1887), based on Triteleia uniflora Lindl. (Botanical Register 15:sub pl. 1293. 1837); and that the epithet "uniflora" [therefore] was published [in this context] twice, independently and based on two different types, so that Ipheion uniflorum and Brodiaea uniflora will be treated in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] as taxonomic synonyms but not nomenclatural synonyms. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Ipheion uniflorum (Graham) Raf., from Ipheion uniflorum Raf. previously in this Index, and (for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] synonym of Ipheion uniflorum) to Brodiaea uniflora (Lindl.)
