Church in Authors of Plant Names) in American Journal of Botany 36:164 (1949), based on Windsoria pallida published in A Catalogue of Plants Growing Spontaneously Within Thirty Miles of the City of New York, 91 (1819), and that although the published work doesn't identify the author of the name and description, TL-2 states that John Torrey (Torr. in Authors of Plant Names), one member of the publishing committee, was the actual author. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Torreyochloa pallida (Torr.) G. L. Church, from Torreyochloa pallida (J. Presl) G. L. Church previously in this Index, 27 Apr 2009.] | |||||
