Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 28 Mar 2013 e-mail from Richard Moe see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Solidago guiradonis A. Gray var. spectabilis D. C. Eaton is the basionym of Solidago spectabilis (D. C. Eaton) A. Gray [confirmed by examination of protologue, Proc. Amer. Acad. Arts XVII:193. 1882] and that Solidago confinis var. spectabilis D.C. Eaton probably is not a synonym of Solidago spectabilis (D. C. Eaton) A. Gray. [Indeed, Solidago confinis var. spectabilis D.C. Eaton evidently is not included in International Plant Names Index, and probably does not exist. Therefore, Solidago confinis var. spectabilis D.C. Eaton removed, and Solidago guiradonis A. Gray var. spectabilis D. C. Eaton added, to Current Jepson Flora Project synonyms, 18 Jun 2013.]
