| Editorial Comments 1 | Correspondence 1 indicates that, according to Schilling (Systematic Botany 6: 172-185, 1981; based on dissertation cited by Kartesz & Meacham), Solanum villosum (L.) Mill. occasionally has been introduced but has not persisted in NA, and that, according to PLANTS database, it occurs only in extreme ne US. [Correspondence 1 indicates that the species possibly has escaped but has not become naturalized in CA. However, it does not address Source b, which indicates the species in a tomato field, in ScV, in 1996, so that Current Status as tentative 4 is retained.] | |
