| Editorial Comments 2 | Correspondence 2 indicates: that Congdonia pinetorum (Brandegee) Jeps. and Sedum pinetorum Brandegee are synonyms; that in the Crassulaceae book edited by Eggli (2003), a description is given for Sedum pinetorum (pgs 307-307) even though it is also stated that this taxon is "probably identical with" Sedum niveum; and, therefore, that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Sedum niveum is to be treated as native to CA, with Sedum pinetorum Brandegee and Congdonia pinetorum (Brandegee) Jeps. to be treated as syns, and with a note indicating that additional research is necessary to determine whether or not Sedum pinetorum is distinct from Sedum niveum, and if so, at what taxonomic level. | |||||
