Jepson Flora Project: Jepson Interchange for California Floristics
Salvia grahamii Benth.
LAMIACEAE
Initial Editorial Analysis 26 Apr 2011
Source of Report for California
a Munz, P.A. in collaboration with D. D. Keck. 1968, as cited in Kartesz & Meacham
b [for S. microphylla] Hrusa et al., ms later published in Madrono 49(2)61-98. 2002: DISTRIBUTION: CCo, NCoRO.; STATUS: unknown; "...dry sunny loam, originally cult...."
Initial Editorial Comments in no way mentioned in Munz, The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]; Salvia microphylla said in Munz Supplement (p. 103, not 104 as stated in index) to possibly be the correct name for Salvia grahamii, itself said to be an "escape from cult...native of Mex".
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 evidently does not address Salvia grahamii Benth.. [As an active waif, it should or would have been partially treated (in key, with description only online).]
