(1838) should still be used [it had been used in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]] for western skunkbrush, instead of Rhus aromatica Aiton (1789) [which was used in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]], although it does constitute a clade with Rhus aromatica, so that the treatment in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] is not completely indefensible. | |||||
