Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 5 May 2014 pers. comm. from Staci Marcos see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 includes a paper by M. Rejmanek titled "Chinese Pistache - A Ticking Timebomb?" in which the author states that Pistacia chinensis Bunge "is freely regenerating along the [sic] Hangtown Creek in Placerville (M. J. Bower, personal communication)" as well as "along Big Chico creek [sic] in Bidwell Park in Chico (Warren Roberts, personal communication)"; the author also states that he has been finding "more and more seedlings/saplings in western Davis". [Therefore, a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-2 is appropriate, for occurrences in e ScV and n SNF, while it is not yet clear whether the same is true for those in "western Davis" (s ScV), which may be too urban for inclusion, and other bioregions (e.g., c SNF) suggested by records in CCH.]
