Löve, either in Taxon 29(1):168, 1980 (because the genus was not yet validly published), or in Taxon 29(4):547, 1980 (because no basionym reference was provided), or even in Feddes Repertorium 95:484, 1984 (because still no basionym reference was provided), but rather it was validly published by Mary Barkworth & Douglas R. Dewey (Barkworth & D.R. Dewey in Authors of Plant Names) in American Journal of Botany 72:772, 1985, where they provided the necessary basionym reference, to Agropyron smithii Rydb. (Memoirs of the New York Botanical Garden 1:64. 1900), and on pages 769 and 775 ascribed the combination to Á. Löve. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Pascopyrum smithii (Rydb.) Á. Löve ex Barkworth & D.R. Dewey, from Pascopyrum smithii (Rydb.) Á. Löve previously in this Index, 10 Sep 2008.] | |||||
