Oenothera scapoidea Nutt. ex Torr. & A. Gray
ONAGRACEAE
Initial Editorial Analysis 28 Jan 2002
Source of Report for California added manually by Rosatti
Initial Editorial Comments would be added if Oenothera scapoidea var. seorsa added
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 $ 17 Dec 2001, from Margriet Wetherwax see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Peter H. Raven, Family Coordinator, The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1], in 1962 treated Oenothera scapoidea var. seorsa as a synonym of Oenothera scapoidea subsp. scapoidea, and mapped the latter no closer to California than Utah. [Oenothera scapoidea Nutt. ex Torr. & A. Gray subsp. scapoidea probably treated currently (as of 5 May 2011) as Chylismia scapoidea (Torr. & A.Gray) Small subsp. scapoidea.]
