Correspondence 1 Treatment submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Andrew G. Murdock, including author responses to questions posed during scientific editing see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Mirabilis albida (Walter) Heimerl is the oldest name for a more broadly defined species that includes Mirabilis oblongifolia (A. Gray) Heimerl and Mirabilis pumila(Standl.) Standl. as recognized in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] (Spellenberg 2004 Flora North America), and that California pls identified as Mirabilis comata (Small) Standl., pending further study, probably should be treated as a new taxon, a var. of _Mirabilis albida_ (name not yet published).
