Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Linnaeus intended that the epithet refer to Hyssopifolia, a pre-Linnaean generic name, even though it is printed, evidently inadvertently, as "Hyssopifoli"; it also states that according to Article 23.5 of ICBN (St. Louis Code) 2000, specific epithets that are nouns in apposition must retain their original gender and termination, so that the correct spelling is "hyssopifolia".
