Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Liquidambar styraciflua L. should be considered no more than a cultivated plant in CA, as there is only one herbarium voucher, from Balboa Park in San Diego Co., and an occurrence near the American River mentioned by Fred Hrusa is also heavily landscaped (the mentioned UCD specimen is not in the Consortium of California Herbaria Database).
