·

Information from the Index of California Plant Names (ICPN)
Initial Editorial Analysis 18 Dec 2007
Source of Report for California The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]
Initial Editorial Comments since The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1], treated as Leptosiphon aureus subsp. aureus by J. M. Porter & L. A. Johnson (A Phylogenetic Classification of Polemoniaceae, Aliso 19(1):55-91. 2000)
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 14 May 2003 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that: according to Dave Keil, WTR (n slope) and pinyon pine-oak-juniper woodland should be added to the geographic range and habitat statement, respectively, for Linanthus aureus; however, according to Bob Patterson (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] author for Linanthus), these changes are to be made only for Linanthus aureus subsp. aureus, as Linanthus aureus subsp. decorus is a more eastern entity and probably does not occur so far west.
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Robert W. Patterson & Robyn Battaglia see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Linanthus aureus (Nutt.) Greene subsp. aureus is to be treated as a synonym of Leptosiphon aureus (Nutt.) Benth. ex E. Vilm. subsp. aureus.
