Balslev, was published in Systema vegetabilium, ed. 16, 7:178 (1829), and that the authors of vol. 7 are J.A. Schultes & J.H. Schultes (Schult. & Schult f. in Authors of Plant Names). [Therefore, author citation not incorrect as cited in this Index.]

Correspondence 3 indicates: that, after looking further into the publication of Juncus mexicanus in Systema Vegetabilium 7(1):178 (1829), Greenhouse believes there is need to correct the conclusions in his Nov. 2006 e-mail about the citations for Juncus mexicanus and Juncus arcticus var. mexicanus; and that, although the authors of the work were Schult. & Schult. f., they ascribed the name to "Willd." (= Authors of Plant Names) and credited the Latin description to "Reliqu. Willd. MS.", in reference to unpublished manuscript material of Willdenow's left after his death (in 1812) and made available to the authors of Systema Vegetabilium. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Juncus arcticus Willd. var. mexicanus (Willd.) Balslev, from Juncus arcticus Willd. var. mexicanus (Willd. ex Schult. & Schult. f.) Balslev previously in this Index, 30 Apr 2008.]
