·

Information from the Index of California Plant Names (ICPN)
Initial Editorial Analysis Nov 1 2001
Source of Report for California The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]
Initial Editorial Comments author citation uncertain, changed to (Nash) M. E. Jones by unknown person prior to generation of this checklist, but (Nash ex Rydb.) M. E. Jones in Kartesz & Meacham, where treated as synonym of Glyceria striata (Lam.) Hitchc.
Editorial Recommendation author citation to be checked [resolved]
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 17 May 2005 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that the combination Glyceria elata was published by M.E. Jones (= Authors of Plant Names) in Biological series of the bulletin of the state university of Montana 15: 17. 1910, based on Panicularia elata published by Rydberg (Rydb. in Authors of Plant Names) in Memoirs of the New York Botanical Garden 1: 54. 1900, who ascribed the name, but not the description, to Nash (= Authors of Plant Names for George Valentine Nash). [Therefore, author citation corrected to Glyceria elata (Nash ex Rydb.) M. E. Jones, from Glyceria elata (Lam.) Hitchc. previously in this Index, 18 May 2005.]
