Initial Editorial Comments | according to Source b, in California naturalized outside of wildlands, yet at least some of the conditions of cited occurrences evidently qualify for inclusion in the flora according to criteria employed by Jepson Flora Project (21 Feb 2003)
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 | Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Gary L. Hannan see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 | Correspondence 1 indicates that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Fumaria capreolata L. is to be treated as a waif in CA, in lieu of evidence that the plants are reproducing in any way in the state in +- wild conditions.
Correspondence 2 | 16 Feb 2010 e-mail from Gary L. Hannan, including responses to 11 Feb 2010 e-mail from Dave Keil see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 | Correspondence 2 indicates that, according to Keil, Fumaria capreolata "is NOT a waif. It is most thoroughly NATURALIZED. It has taken over the understory of some riparian corridors in the San Luis Obispo area and elsewhere. It is a prolific seeder and forms large populations." [Therefore, a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-2 is appropriate.]
