Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 12 Mar 2004 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Susan G. Aiken (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] author) and Laurie L. Consaul (Am. J. Bot 82:1287-1299. 1995) treated Festuca brachyphylla subsp. breviculmis and Festuca brachyphylla subsp. coloradensis as synonymous; since they were published simultaneously, by Signe Fredericksen (Nordic J. Bot, 2:529 & 530. 1983), their choice to combine them under Festuca brachyphylla subsp. coloradensis establishes priority of that name, according to Art. 11.5 of ICBN 2000 (St. Louis Code).
