Initial Editorial Comments three records in SMASCH, at least one annotated by Schott; according to Source d, in California naturalized outside of wildlands, yet conditions of cited occurrences evidently qualify for inclusion in the flora according to criteria employed by Jepson Flora Project (25 Feb 2003)
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 12 Feb 2008, from Editor of this Index and author of treatment for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Of 7 records (of 4 collections) in the Consortium of California Herbaria Database, all seem to qualify as urban weeds; although Ertter 11082 appears to have been collected from somewhat natural or wild conditions, the locality ("Claremont Canyon in E Oakland, near fire trail on University of California property") is well within an urban environment, so a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-4 is most appropriate at this time.
