Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 11 Feb 2014 e-mail from Bruce Baldwin (attachment) see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that evidence from molecular phylogenetics (Jordon-Thaden et al. 2010 Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution 55(2010):524-540) supports treatment of Draba cuneifolia Torr. & A. Gray var. sonorae (Greene) Parish as a separate species (Draba sonorae Greene) that, with Draba cuneifolia Torr. & A. Gray, should be treated in Tomostima, as Tomostima sonorae (Greene ) Al-Shehbaz, M.Koch & Jordon-Thaden and Tomostima cuneifolia (Nutt. ex Torr. & A. Gray) Al-Shehbaz, M. Koch & Jordon-Thaden, respectively [Taxon 61(5): 931-954. 2012].
Pending data Tomostima cuneifolia (Nutt. ex Torr. & A. Gray) Al-Shehbaz, M. Koch & Jordon-Thaden may become the accepted name for Draba cuneifolia Torr. & A. Gray and Draba cuneifolia Torr. & A. Gray var. cuneifolia, the last treated as a synonym of Draba cuneifolia Torr. & A. Gray in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]
