Initial Editorial Analysis 13 Jan 2011
Notes on Authorship of Name all = Authors of Plant Names

Initial Editorial Comments treated as "extensively intergrading", minor variant of Crepis occidentalis in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 10 Jul 2007 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Crepis occidentalis subsp. conjuncta was published by E.B. Babcock & G.L. Stebbins (Babc. & Stebbins in Authors of Plant Names) in The American Species of Crepis 134 (1938), wherein they attempted to base a new combination on "C. occidentalis var. conjuncta Jepson, in herb.", an invalid name, meaning that a new subsp., Crepis occidentalis subsp. conjuncta, was published instead, there and then by Babc. & Stebbins. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Crepis occidentalis Nutt. subsp. conjuncta Babc. & Stebbins, from Crepis occidentalis Nutt. subsp. conjuncta (Jeps.) Babc. & Stebbins previously in this Index, 13 Jul 2007.]
