Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1includes reference to a paper (Harley & Pastore 2012 Phytotaxa 58:1-55) in which Hyptis, shown in an earlier paper (Pastore et al. 2011 Taxon 60:1317-1329) to be polyphyletic on the basis of evidence primarily from nuclear and plastid DNA, is divided into numerous other genera including a greatly reduced and monophyletic Hyptis, which in its new circumscription excludes Hyptis emoryi, which is transferred to Condea and given the name Condea emoryi (Torr.) Harley & J.F.B. Pastore.
