Chrysothamnus teretifolius (Durand & Hilg.) H. M. Hall

Information from the Index of California Plant Names (ICPN)
Initial Editorial Analysis 7 Feb 2007
Source of Report for California The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 Jun 2000 pers. comm. from Bruce G. Baldwin see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates some or all members of Chrysothamnus might be treated as Ericameria.
Correspondence 2 $ 17 Dec 2001, from Margriet Wetherwax see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 confirms that relationships between Chrysothamnus and Ericameria warrant further study, citing Anderson (1995, Great Basin Naturalist 55: 84-88), Nesom & Baird (1995, Phytologia 78:61-65). [Since the genus in which this taxon will be placed has not yet been decided, a tentative Current Status category reflecting its treatment in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] is used, except in the case of minor variants and hybrids, which remain unresolved.]
Correspondence 3 2 Nov 2006 e-mail from John Strother see Comment 3
Editorial Comments 3 Correspondence 3 indicates that specimens in UC/JEPS previously filed as Chrysothamnus teretifolius (Durand & Hilg.) H. M. Hall are now filed as Ericameria teretifolia (Durand & Hilg.) Jepson, reflecting circumscriptions and nomenclature used in Flora North America in a treatment authored by Lowell E. Urbatsch [Author of Chrysothamnus and EricameriaThe Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]], Loran C. Anderson, Roland P. Roberts, and Kurt M. Neubig.
