Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Asclepias tuberosa L. does not occur in California outside of cultivation; it is indicated for California by Kartesz & Meacham, based on Woodson (1954), but Woodson indicated only that it had been introduced, in Colusa Co., and that otherwise the species, as represented by Asclepias tuberosa L. subsp. interior Woodson, occurs no nearer to California than about 75 miles, in AZ; on 12 Dec 2006, one record in the Consortium of California Herbaria Database, identified only to species, SD35976, C. I. Jerabek, No Collection Number, Apr 1945, San Diego Co., Ex Hort. Balboa Park.
