Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 26 Jun 2013 e-mail from Bruce Baldwin, including forwarded e-mails from David J. Keil see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates records in CCH (e.g., UC2013133, UCD80843, RSA769921) suggesting that Antirrhinum orontium L. is naturalized in CA. [The e-mails refer to a change in status for Antirrhinum orontium L. from The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] to The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], from naturalized to waif, but in fact it was indicated as a waif in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] as well as The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2]. Although it appears that the conditions of the discussed occurrences would qualify the taxon as naturalized, it is not yet clear whether or not the plants involved are reproducing in any way, the second major criterion for treatment as naturalized within Jepson Flora Project. Of the specimens he has collected, Keil stated that the species "was not growing as a waif or escape, but showing weedy tendencies and appearing to be naturalized."]
