Correspondence 1 indicates that Anthriscus scandicina (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] synonym) was published by R. Mansfeld (Mansf. in Authors of Plant Names) in Repertorium Specierum Novarum Regni Vegetabilis 46:309 (1939), based on Caucalis scandicina, published by F. H. Wiggers (F.H. Wigg. in Authors of Plant Names) in Primitiae Florae Holsaticae 23 (1780), and that although many publications credit G. H. Weber with authorship of the names published there, an analysis in TL-2 (7:275--276) explains that this work was a doctoral thesis, that the names proposed therein as new should be credited to Wiggers, and that Weber was Wiggers' professor. [Therefore, author citation of The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] synonym corrected to Anthriscus scandicina (F. H. Wigg.) Mansf., from Anthriscus scandicina (G. Weber) Mansf. previously in this Index, 9 Oct 2007.]
