Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that G. I. Baird (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Author), in SIDA 21:715--716 (2004), has recircumscribed Agoseris apargioides to exclude Agoseris hirsuta (Hook.) Greene [The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] synonym of Agoseris apargioides (Less.) Greene and Agoseris apargioides (Less.) Greene var. apargioides], "a grassland species found along the Coast Ranges of California. It is strictly acaulescent and only rarely occurs adjacent to the Pacific shore (and then not on dunes)."
