Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 24 Oct 2014 e-mail from Dave Keil, including forwarded e-mails from Larry Hendrickson (botanist at California State Parks, Colorado Desert District) see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates (as does a note in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] under the genus) that Volutaria canariensis Wagenitz is established as a weed, in San Diego County (sw DSon), and is becoming more common, and that in fact Larry Hendrickson and others "have major concerns that it may become a problem weed in the future in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park".
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted for revision of The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Volutaria canariensis Wagenitz was misapplied to plants belonging instead to Volutaria tubuliflora (Murb.) Sennen.
