| Editorial Comments 1 | Most North American species of Arabis have been transferred to Boechera by Ihsan A. Al-Shehbaz (Novon 13:381-391, 2003), The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Author of Boechera. According to Al-Shehbaz, 35 of the 40 varieties recognized by Rollins (The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] Author) in Arabis sensu lato fall within his circumscription of Boechera. Nevertheless, Al-Shehbaz stated that the status of the infraspecific taxa would be addressed only after he has been able to examine all the types involved. Therefore, the taxonomic and nomenclatural changes to be adopted by Al-Shehbaz will not be addressed in this Index for any names until such information is available for all names. | |
