Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Reid Moran (Aliso 20: 17--20. 2001), published a new name, Fraxinus parryi, for Fraxinus dipetala var. trifoliolata, the common ash of nw Baja Calif; also, that although it had been known for San Diego Co., it wasn't mentioned in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]. [According to Moran, Fraxinus trifoliata is a misspelling of Fraxinus trifoliolata, a later homonym of Fraxinus trifoliolata W. W. Sm., so that the new name was necessary. Moran indicates the taxon in California from just north of the Mexican border, between Lyons Valley and Lawson Valley, San Diego Co., as first reported by Beauchamp, 1986 (A Flora of San Diego County, California. Sweetwater River Press, National City).]
