Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 23 Jul 2002 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates, based on redermination of a single specimen in UC (UC1220394. T. C. Fuller 9074, Terminous, San Joaquin Co. Jul 2, 1962; label indicating "infestation mainly between" railroad tracks) by Mark Mayfield, Kansas State University, that Euphorbia davidii is introduced [and, presumably, naturalized] in deltaic GV.
Correspondence 2 12 Apr 2004 Interchange Feedback from Mark Mayfield see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that Euphorbia dentata is an Eastern US diploid that is only known in California as an introduction that may not even persist, and that most reports of Euphorbia dentata from western US will turn out to be Euphorbia davidii, a polyploid that is easily distinguished and has become naturalized around the world in temperate regions [possibly but not necessarily including CA].
