Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Navarretia intertexta (Benth.) Hook. subsp. propinqua (Suksd.) A. G. Day is to be treated as Navarretia propinqua Suksd., leaving no infraspecific taxa in Navarretia intertexta (Benth.) Hook. [according to Johnson, the taxon is treated as species, and some of the rationale discussed, in Johnson, L. A., L. M. Chan, K. Burr, and D. Hendrickson. 2012. Navarretia furnissii (Polemoniaceae), a new diploid species from the intermountain western United States distinguished from tetraploid Navarretia saximontana. Phytotaxa 42: 51–61].
