Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 12 Feb 2002 e-mail from John Game see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Howellia aquatilis is very clearly in the state, apparently having been found in five pools, and that it should be so indicated. [For the SMASCH database, Rosatti confirmed that JEPS94619 is assignable to Howellia aquatilis, and there seems to be fairly uniform agreement that this taxon is in fact extant in CA. Therefore, removal of "tentative" from the Current Status category Jepson Flora Project-1seems justified.]
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Nancy R. Morin see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 indicates that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Howellia aquatilis A. Gray is to be treated as native to CA.
