Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 (referring to E. Janchen, Nomenklatorische Bemerkungen zur Flora Europaea, Vol. I, in Feddes Repertorium 72:34. 1965) indicates that Consolida ambigua (L.) P. W. Ball & Heywood and Delphinium ambiguum L. both have been misapplied California plants that belong instead to Consolida ajacis (L.) Schur (Delphinium ambiguum L. has three follicles, whereas the California plants in question, and Delphinium ajacis L., have one). [Therefore, Delphinium ajacis L. is to be treated as a synonym for a taxon naturalized in CA.]
