Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 26 Aug 2003 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 2 (referring to E. Janchen, Nomenklatorische Bemerkungen zur Flora Europaea, Vol. I, in Feddes Repertorium 72:34. 1965) indicates that Consolida ambigua (L.) P. W. Ball & Heywood and Delphinium ambiguum L. both have been misapplied to California plants that belong instead to Consolida ajacis (L.) Schur (Delphinium ambiguum L. has three follicles, whereas the California plants in question, and Delphinium ajacis L., have one); also, that author abbreviation is to be corrected to P. W. Ball & Heywood. [Author abbreviation corrected to Consolida ambigua (L.) P. W. Ball & Heywood, from Consolida ambigua (L.) P. Ball & Heyw. originally in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1] and this Index, 19 Sep 2003]
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Jason A. Koontz see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 3 confirms for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-8a for Consolida ambigua (L.) P. W. Ball & Heywood.
