Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 23 Jun 2009 e-mail from Jeff Greenhouse see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates: that Atriplex watsonii was published April 5,1904 by Abrams (=Authors of Plant Names) in Flora of Los Angeles and Vicinity 128 (1904); that Abrams ascribed the name to "A. Nelson in lit." but provided his own description; and that Abrams' publication date was 4 days before Aven Nelson (A. Nelson in Authors of Plant Names) published the same name on April 9, 1904 (Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington 17(12):99. 1904). [Therefore, author citation corrected to Atriplex watsonii A. Nelson ex Abrams, from Atriplex watsonii A. Nelson previously in this Index, 21 Dec 2010.]
